As we begin the new year, we’re excited to share important updates and upcoming opportunities within the landscape architecture community.

The HKILA Awards 2024 deadline has been extended to February 4, 2025, providing more time to submit your innovative projects for recognition. Additionally, the IFLA Asia-Pacific Landscape Architecture Awards 2025 are returning, with updated categories and guidelines, set to launch in March 2025. Stay tuned for more details on these exciting developments!

We also look ahead to IFLA’s Online World Council meeting in March 2025, offering delegates and observers the chance to participate in two interactive sessions on March 22nd and 23rd.

Extended Deadline: Nomination for the HKILA Awards 2024

In response to overwhelming interest, the nomination deadline for the HKILA Awards 2024 has been extended to February 4, 2025 (5 PM, Tuesday).

The HKILA Awards celebrate excellence in landscape planning, design, and management across both public and private projects. This prestigious award also honors the exceptional achievements of landscape architects, designers, and students, shining a spotlight on their valuable contributions to the field.

Take this opportunity to showcase your best work and gain the recognition it deserves! We look forward to receiving your submissions and celebrating the finest in landscape architecture at the HKILA Awards 2024!

IFLA Online World Council Meeting – March 2025

IFLA will be hosting an online World Council meeting in March 2025, complementing the in-person World Council Meeting in Nantes in September 2025.

Delegates and observers are invited to join us for two hours on Saturday, 22nd March, and an additional two hours on Sunday, 23rd March.

Further details on how to participate, the meeting agenda, and any related documents will be shared soon. Stay tuned for updates!

We are excited to announce the return of the IFLA Asia-Pacific Landscape Architecture Awards in 2025, continuing our tradition of recognizing exceptional contributions to landscape architecture across the Asia-Pacific region.

With refreshed categories and updated guidelines, the 2025 Awards will offer an exciting platform to showcase innovative projects that promote sustainable and resilient environments. Full details will be released in February 2025.

In the meantime, feel free to explore the 2023 LA Awards submission guidelines and categories. Please note that while these are the 2023 details, we anticipate updates and possible changes for the 2025 edition. Stay tuned for more information!
