| In its latest humanitarian aid activity, the Landscape Architects Without Borders committee provided donations and relief supplies for the Kingdom of Tonga's recent disaster.
The nature-based reconstruction plan "Building Back Better", authorized in March 2022, was also discussed with Mr. Ambassador Suka. |

IFLA AAPME Awards 2022 Update |
|
The IFLA AAPME Awards 2022 has received overwhelming response this year! We have received over 300 submissions on the theme“Climate Crisis Design” from 16 countries and regions, including Australia, China, Netherlands, New Zealand, Thailand, South Africa, the United States and the United Arab Emirates!
The judges are now in process of judging the submissions, which will be finalised in July. The awards ceremony will be held in Gwangju, Korea in conjunction with the IFLA World Congress Gwangju 2022 happening from August 31 - September 2.

| Last few days for early-bird registrations!
The 58th IFLA World Congress, themed Re:Public Landscape, will be held in Gwangju, Korea from Aug 31 - Sep 2 2022.
The congress aims to reclaim public leadership in landscape architecture as we re:visit professional and academic achievements to date, re:shape the earth through emerging discourse and technologies, re:vive everyday lives to healthier and more vibrant ways, and finally re:connect to nature.
Early-bird registrations end 31 May. Registrations end 30 June. |
