Welcome to the March Edition of IFLA APR's Newsletter!
This month, Chris Tidswell, President of IFLA APR, shares updates on active initiatives within the region, highlighting collaboration opportunities with IFLA World and various committees. He also announces the upcoming launch of the IFLA APR Jobs Board which we would like to invite you to participate in a survey that will help us assess the essential skills in the industry.
Additionally, IFLA World is currently accepting nominations for IFLA world-level elections until April 15. They are also calling for participation in a new initiative focusing on Migration and Landscape to address the critical challenges faced by displaced communities worldwide.
Lastly, The World Cities Summit is happening from 2 - 4 June 2024, a global platform for leaders and experts to discuss sustainable city challenges, share urban solutions, and build new partnerships. Nominations for IFLA world-level elections are now open |
| IFLA has opened its call for nominations for various positions within it’s Executive Committee.
National Association Delegates to IFLA and ExCo Officers may submit up to two nominations for each position. Nominees must provide written consent, a manifesto, biography, and photo.
The deadline for completed nominations is 15 April 2024, with electronic voting taking place from 15 May to 14 June 14 2024. |

IFLA Initiative on Migration and Landscape: Call for Participation |
| IFLA's new initiative focuses on Migration and Landscape, addressing the pressing challenges of displaced communities globally.
As a landscape architect, we are uniquely qualified to contribute to creating multifunctional landscapes with concerns for food production, food security, and sovereignty as well as, the pursuit of territorial justice.

| The biennial World Cities Summit (WCS) is a global platform for city leaders and experts to discuss sustainable urban challenges and solutions. The 9th edition will be held from 2 - 4 June 2024, in Singapore, under the theme "Liveable and Sustainable Cities: Rejuvenate, Reinvent, Reimagine."
The event features a main conference, WCS Mayors Forum, Young Leaders Symposium, and an exhibition, focusing on creating smart, resilient, and regenerative cities across five thematic tracks. |
