Dear Subscriber,

IFLA APR has declared a Regional and Global Climate & Biodiversity Emergency. The declaration made on 6 November 2019 affirms the commitment to a significant long-term shift in thinking, behaviour and policy and was unanimously endorsed by the regional council meeting’s attending member association delegates. The meeting provided a clear mandate to map out an action plan of what IFLA-APR will do in response to the issues facing the region. To read more details about this declaration, you can access the full text below.

On 7-9 November, the 2019 IFLA APR Congress took place in Cebu City, with the theme focused on engaging communities with sustainable development: "Commonssense". You can read more in Secretary, the event summary below.

Once again, we would like to thank both the members of the jury and those who submitted their work during this year's edition of the IFLA APR Awards. We were able to enjoy numerous projects that are changing the world and reward the landscape architects behind them.
