IFLA-APR organises the prestigious AAPME Awards every two years to showcase the outstanding achievements of landscape architects from Africa, Asia-Pacific, and the Middle East (AAPME). These awards not only recognise design excellence but also spotlight those dedicated to sustainable, responsible practices. The AAPME Awards honor the creative solutions and visionary efforts that address today's global challenges and prepare for tomorrow's evolving demands.


This year, Singapore has the honor of hosting the IFLA-APR AAPME 2024 Gala Dinner & Awards Ceremony, where we will celebrate the awardees and mark the incorporation of IFLA-APR Limited in Singapore. Themed "Landscape Beyond Borders," this exclusive event provides a unique chance to connect with industry leaders and peers in a lively, inspiring atmosphere.

Important Information for Gala Dinner & Awards Ceremony Attendees

Door Opens: 7:00 PM

  • Please arrive promptly as doors will open at 7:00 PM.

Seating:

  • You will be guided to your designated seats upon arrival. Award winners are kindly asked to remain in their assigned seats to ensure a smooth process when being called to the stage.

Dress Code:

Photography:

  • A professional photographer will capture highlights of the evening. Please be prepared for group photos if you are an award recipient.

1. IFLA-APR Annual General Meeting 2024 - In-Person/Virtual

*This is a closed event for the official delegates and observers of IFLA APR National Societies only. If you wish to participate in the IFLA APR Annual General Meeting 2024, please reach out to your national society.


2. The Professional Practice and Policy Forum 2024 - In-Person/Virtual (Free)


The Professional Practice and Policy Forum 2024, titled "Future of Landscape Architecture: Setting the Foundations for Resilient Landscapes and Communities," is designed to drive the profession toward a sustainable and inclusive future. Taking place on November 14 in Singapore, this forum will bring together thought leaders and professionals to discuss strategies for addressing climate change, urban mobility, and the enhancement of professional standards.


The event is aimed at landscape architects, policymakers, environmental organizations, and professional bodies dedicated to promoting sustainability and improving professional standards within the landscape architecture field. Attendance is limited to official delegates of IFLA APR Member Associations/National Societies who will be present at the Annual General Meeting, as well as the professional practice and policy representatives from those organizations.

Join us for the IFLA-APR Technical Site Tour, featuring visits to Woodlands Healing Garden and Sentosa Sensoryscape, both of which are recipients of the prestigious IFLA-APR AAPME Awards 2024.

Itinerary:

8:30 - 9:00 AM: Assembly at Hilton Singapore Orchard

9:00 - 9:30 AM: Depart for Woodlands Healing Garden

11:30 - 12:00 PM: Depart for Sentosa Sensoryscape
